Meet Our Founder & CEO
RONELLE TRUSTY
For Ronelle Trusty, caregiving is more than a profession—it is a calling. For more than 16 years, she has dedicated herself to caring for older adults and supporting their families.
Since beginning her caregiving journey in 2009, Ronelle has provided hands-on support to older adults and families in private homes, live-in settings, nursing homes, and other care environments. Through those years of experience, she came to understand that exceptional home care is about much more than completing daily tasks. It is about consistency, compassion, dignity, trust, and giving families peace of mind knowing that someone genuinely cares about the person they love.
That experience became the foundation for Gentle Hands Home Care Co. LLC.
Ronelle founded Gentle Hands with a vision of creating a boutique, high-touch home care agency where clients are treated as individuals—not simply another case on a schedule. Her approach is rooted in the same principles that have guided her throughout her own caregiving career: being present, dependable, attentive, and treating every client with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Today, Ronelle remains personally involved in the agency and is committed to building Gentle Hands one family at a time while maintaining the personal connection and quality of care on which the company was founded.

My Journey
My journey did not begin with owning a business. It began with starting over.
I came to the United States in 2009 at the age of 39, leaving my four children behind and arriving with the hope of creating a better future for my family. Starting over was far from easy. I found myself without a job, reliable transportation, financial security, or the support system I had expected to have.
But giving up was never an option.
An opportunity to provide care on the weekends became the beginning of a caregiving career that would ultimately change the direction of my life. I traveled by bus and train and walked long distances—sometimes in difficult weather—because I was determined to show up for the people who depended on me. Over time, the quality of care I provided led families to recommend me to others, opening doors to additional private-duty and live-in caregiving opportunities.
I continued working, learning, and building. I earned my CNA credentials and gained experience caring for people in private homes, live-in settings, nursing homes, and other care environments. There were years of extremely long hours, personal sacrifices, exhaustion, setbacks, and responsibilities that had to be carried whether I felt ready or not.
My journey into entrepreneurship also came with lessons. Not every business venture succeeded, and some setbacks cost me both time and money. But every experience taught me something valuable: a setback does not have to become the end of the story.
Those years taught me the importance of perseverance, consistency, faith in what you are building, and the willingness to keep going even when progress feels slow.
Eventually, my years of caregiving experience and my desire to build something of my own came together in Gentle Hands Home Care Co. LLC.
Gentle Hands represents more than a business to me. It represents years of experience, sacrifice, growth, and the belief that where you begin does not determine where you can go. The same perseverance that carried me through my own journey now shapes the way I am building this company—one client, one family, and one relationship at a time.
